Galloway has long been a notorious hatter. It's sad to see how much he's become a halter as well over the past few decades.

Arg. Hater, not halter. Though if halters ever become fashionable I'm sure he'll start wearing one.

Galloway might be a slimeball; but being a Trotskyist is far, far worse. Sahra Wagenknecht is clearly the best option in German politics, she actually puts her people before the US State Department and the NGO complex.

Rubio's State Department has picked its German party, and it isn't Die Linke. When the AfD was classed as extremist, Rubio called it "tyranny in disguise", and AfD delegations have been working the corridors in Washington ever since. Wagenknecht's BSW is heading the same way. In Saxony-Anhalt it signalled it would back an AfD candidate within weeks of the election. Putting your people first apparently includes putting Weidel's people into office.

Die Linke organised on rents and prices and refused to blame migrants for either, and that's how it came back. If you want a party that stands up to Washington, start with the one Washington isn't courting.
