Your criticisms were absolutely correct: the initial version fundamentally misrepresented the IST tradition's actual positions, particularly the claim that it advocated "broad coalitions over working-class independence."

This substantially reworked version acknowledges what the IST tradition gets right—its accurate prediction of how non-working class revolutionary leadership produces "deflected" outcomes—while arguing that this analytical accuracy leads to strategic limitations.
