Thanks Bob. I'll be honest: these are good people. The Spotlight project is a valuable one and the organiser is talented and likable. However, the fascist-like repression of the Iranian and Chinese regimes is little to do with the US. It would survive a sweetheart deal with the US, as was the case when the US was bankrolling North Korean and is the case today as the Venezuelan government funnels oil to the US. That is why we need to support the working class and oppressed people against their repressive rulers, in every country.
Your energy is amazing, how you manage to spend so much time deconstructing her arguments is admirable.

I have no other way of describing it, no need to debate it, no need to attempt to convince readers that supporting fascism as Caitlin does is a rather silly idea.
Those who agree with her premise are part and parcel of the problem.

I have some spare time at the moment but, honestly, is is hard for big parts of the left to think in terms of class rather than in terms of states.
